Black

A round ceramic bowl with a grounded, earthy presence. The lower portion is finished in a deep matte black, dense and solid, anchoring the form visually. As the surface rises, the black gives way to exposed lightly textured stoneware clay - showing the character of the material itself. Subtle carved markings are incised into the upper clay, their lines slightly irregular, catching light and shadow to reveal the hand of the maker.
